Season tables

The Order of Merit runs over the summer, April to September; no points are awarded in the winter. Board competitions score 20 points for first down to 2 for tenth (the Club Championship on the 36-hole total); monthly medals and Stablefords score 10 down to 1 in each division. Knockout points to follow. The two Eclectics, Thursday and Saturday, take your best score on each hole across the summer. The Thursday Stableford league runs in two halves, summer (April to September) and winter (October to March); the Winter League is a separate table.

Columns: date, name, section, format, qualifier, oom, tees, note, opponent, venue, match_type (oom is monthly, board or none; if left out, a name containing Medal or Stableford is treated as monthly, anything else as board) — header row first, one fixture per row. Date as 2026-11-07 or 07/11/2026; section club, seniors or ladies; qualifier yes or no (if left blank, individual competitions are qualifiers and team competitions are not; tees default to White 1 Apr–31 Oct and Green 1 Nov–31 Mar for individual competitions). For Seniors' inter-club matches add opponent, venue (home or away) and match_type (friendly or league) — leave them blank for a normal fixture. Only date and name are required. Sample in samples/fixtures.csv.

This season

Publish results

Columns: position, player, gross, handicap, net for medals, or position, player, points for Stablefords. One row per player, header row first. For 36-hole events such as the Club Championship, add r1 and r2 columns with each day's score and put the total in gross. For competitions played in divisions, add a division column (1 or 2) — positions restart in each division and each is shown with its own winner. Export from your results spreadsheet as CSV.

Columns: event, round, player_a, player_b, plus optional section, play_by, winner, result. One tie per row; several events can be in one file. Rounds: 1, 2, QF, SF, Final (or written out). Leave player_b blank for a bye. Replaces each event that appears in the file. Sample in samples/knockout-draw.csv.

One player per row: player then a column for each hole 1 to 18 (a total column is optional — it's added up if missing). A row with the player name Par is shown as the par line. Older player, score, to_par files still work. Replaces that eclectic's whole table. Sample in samples/eclectic.csv.

Roll of honour — upload a whole season

Columns: trophy, winner, detail (a season column in the file overrides the box above). Replaces that season's list; trophies appear in file order. Sample in samples/roll-of-honour.csv.

League tables

Thursday Stableford (summer 1 April–30 September, winter 1 October–31 March) and the Winter League. Upload the current table whenever it changes; it replaces that league and season.

Columns: position, player, points, optionally played. Sample in samples/league-standings.csv.

Winter Pairs

One Stableford score per pair per round; the best two of four rounds count and the top sixteen qualify for the knockout stages. After round 4 use Draw knockout below to draw the top 16 (1v16, 2v15 and so on, with seeds 1 and 2 kept apart until the final). Upload the full table after each round; it replaces that season's pairs leaderboard.

Columns: pair, r1, r2, r3, r4 (or player1, player2 instead of pair); leave a round blank if not played. Sample in samples/winter-pairs.csv.

Enter a pair's score

Add or correct one round for one pair. Pick an existing pair, or type the two players for a new one.

Knockout deadlines — play-by date for each round. They are used when you press Draw knockout, and Save deadlines updates an existing draw.

Order of Merit snapshot

For a season whose results aren't on the site. When a snapshot exists for the current year it is shown instead of the automatically calculated table.

Save your Order of Merit spreadsheet as CSV and upload it as it is: a header row starting Pos., Player, one column per competition, and TOTAL at the end (title rows above are ignored). Each competition's points are shown as a column on the site. Replaces that season's table.

Add or update a match

Upload matches

Add a season of inter-club matches in one go (for example the Seniors fixture card). Matches already on the site with the same section, date and opponent are skipped.

Columns: date, section, competition, opponent, venue, tee_time, note. Section is seniors, dc, ladies or club; venue is home or away; tee_time and note are optional. Sample: shgc-seniors-matches-2027.csv.

Upload a team sheet

The individual pairings or singles for a match — Seniors matches are usually 8 pairs a side (fourball/foursomes), D&C matches usually 12 singles a side. Save the match above first, then upload its team sheet here; this replaces that match's team sheet.

Columns: tee_time, home_a, home_a_hi, home_a_ph, home_b, home_b_hi, home_b_ph, away_a, away_a_hi, away_a_ph, away_b, away_b_hi, away_b_ph, result, winner. For D&C singles leave home_b/away_b blank. hi is Handicap Index, ph is Playing Handicap. winner is home, away or halved — leave blank if not yet played. One row per pairing/single. Sample in samples/team-sheet.csv.
